COURSE INFORMATION
The Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification represents an elite group of project managers. It proves project leadership experience and expertise in any way of working.
To obtain PMP certification, a project manager must meet certain requirements and then pass a 180-question exam. The PMP exam was created by project leaders for project leaders, so each test question can be related to real-life project management experiences.
PMP certification validates that you are highly skilled in:
- People: Recognizing you have the skills to effectively lead and motivate a project team throughout a project.
- Process: Using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches to determine which way of working is best for each project.
- Business Environment: Highlighting the success of a project and its impact on overall strategic organizational goals.
Description
We are a Premier PMI® Authorized Training Partner.
The purpose and goal of this certification programme is the development, maintenance, evaluation, promotion and administration of a rigorous, examination-based, professional certification programme of the highest caliber.
This programme prepares candidates for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam including:
- Pre-assessment of eligibility of all candidates prior to course confirmation
- Provision of CV templates, assistance with completion of CVs, quality check, online CV application to PMI®
- 3 day Project Management Alignment Course including application requirements
- Online elearning modules to support your learning
- 7 x 4 hour evening lectures (once a week) reviewing PMI® ATP Authorised Content, Major Tools and Techniques and Professional Responsibility and Exam Preparation
- Ongoing support post course to ensure you understand the Domains, Tasks and Enablers as defined in the PMP® Exam Content Outline (ECO)
This programme qualifies you for 35 contact hours of training and / or 5 ECSA CPDs. The course is 45 hours in duration.
Learning Objectives
During the PMP® Prep Program, you will acquire the knowledge and skills which will enable you to:
- Select the appropriate project life cycle and approach based on the project‘s context.
- Apply the appropriate project management tools and techniques based on the situation you face.
- Explain the difference between predictive (waterfall), agile and hybrid approaches.
- Explain how to define team ground rules, build a shared understanding, engage and support virtual, co-located and hybrid teams.
- Apply a variety of interpersonal skills, including collaborating with stakeholders, adaptive leadership approaches, manage conflict and communications.
- Explain how to engage stakeholders, manage and plan scope, risk, quality, schedule, cost, procurements, people and communications.
- Explain the key components of the project management plan.
- Track and report project performance using Key Performance Indicators.
- Establish the appropriate project governance, methods and practices.
- Evaluate business and environment changes.
- Support organisational change by establishing transition plans and applying change management models.
